It was very kind of Anthony M. Bonello to dismiss my comments on workers' rights in the EU as "...the usual pro-EU rhetoric which EU supporters have learned by heart" (June 29).

What better admission - that he is unable to deny the facts stated in my letter - could Mr Bonello have given me? Thank you, Mr Bonello, for sparing me the tiresome task of having to refute your distorted claims yet again.
