The Malta International Training Centre is expected to submit its application to join the Institute for Global Insurance Education during its annual general meeting being held in Singapore on Saturday.

IGIE is made up of a group of not-for-profit organisations engaged in education and training for insurance professionals worldwide. These include training institutions such as the American Institute for Commercial Property & Casualty Underwriters, the Insurance Institute of America, the Chartered Insurance Institute, the Australian & New Zealand Institute of Insurance & Finance, the Insurance Institute of Canada, the Insurance Institute of India and the Bahrain Institute of Banking & Finance.

MITC is being represented at the meeting by its chief executive officer James Portelli.
