Two Italian teenagers were yesterday conditionally discharged for a year for stealing a woman's handbag.

The boys, whose names cannot be published because they are aged 16 and 15 years, pleaded guilty to stealing Cettina Ferriggi's bag in Sliema on Sunday at about 6 p.m.

Police Inspector Silvio Valletta prosecuted.

Dr Vincent Galea appeared for the defendants.
