Coach for the disabled

The Variety Club of the UK and benefactor Muriel Hayward have donated a special coach for the transport of children with disability.

The coach which cost Lm33,000, was presented to the Caring Organisations Support, a Maltese group which supports voluntary organisations working in social welfare.

The coach can take four wheelchairs and up to 11 persons, is equipped with a tail-lift and is airconditioned.

The government has given its assistance to import the coach and the Education Ministry will take care of its maintenance.
