The St Paul's Bay council has not yet decided whether to object to the construction of a 31-storey tower in Qawra.

It said it would first wait for the environment and traffic impact assessments to be carried out by the developers and would take a stand after they were analysed.

In its statement, it commented that it had not been invited to attend a recent residents' meeting, organised to set up a group to object to the project.

The council's collaboration with the Malta Environment and Planning Authority and the developers to carry out a public meeting in the locality was only intended to provide residents with information about the project, it said.
