¤ The feast of the Visitation is being celebrated in Gharb today. Solemn Concelebrated Mass, led by Bishop Nikol Cauchi, will be held at 9 a.m.

There will be band marches through the main streets at 10.30 a.m. Mass will also be celebrated at 5.30 p.m. followed by vespers, the Salve Regina, and the antiphon led by Mgr Benedict Camilleri.

A procession, led by Vicar General Mgr Giovanni B. Gauci, with the participation of the Peace Band, of Naxxar, will be held at 7.45 p.m. The Leone Band will perform on the church parvis while the Santa Maria Band will play marches.

¤ To mark the feast of Our Lady of Succour in Kercem next Sunday, a party for youths, organised by the Kercem decorations youth group, will be held tomorrow at 9 p.m.

A barbecue will be held in Dr Anton Calleja Street, on Tuesday at 8.30 p.m.

On Wednesday, Kercemfest 2002, with the participation of Ira Losco, Fabrizio Faniello, Enzo Guzman and magician Brian Rolè, will be held in the same street at 9 p.m.

On Thursday and Friday at 9.30 p.m. marches will be played by the Precursor, St Gregory and Victory Bands.

On Saturday, the Santa Margerita Band will play marches at 5.45 p.m. followed by a short procession, led by Mgr Gregory Grech, carrying sacred relics from the Carmelite Sisters' chapel of St Theresa to the parish church at 6.30 p.m.

In collaboration with Radio RTK, a live link will be made with migrants in Australia on the church square at 9 p.m. Marches will be performed by the Leone and San Girgor Bands. They will be followed by a fireworks display.

¤ Zghazagh Fest 2002, including cultural, sports, drama and religious activities, will be organised by the Nadur Youth Centre from tomorrow to Thursday at 8 p.m.

¤ A marriage preparation course, organised by the Cana Movement will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7.15 p.m. throughout this month. Application forms are available from the Cana headquarters in Victoria.

¤ Merhba 2002, a variety show organised by the Gozo Cultural Council, with the participation of a Russian folk group and the Sbandieratori di Siena, will be held on Marsalforn promenade on Thursday at 9 p.m.

¤ Short courses in communication skills, conflict management and teamwork start at the University of Malta Gozo Centre on Friday for a period of seven weeks. ¤ The Mgr Giuseppe Farrugia (1852-1925) Hall will be inaugurated and blessed by Bishop Cauchi at St George's parish centre in Victoria on Friday at 7.30 p.m. A Yamaha grand piano will also be used for the first time. It will be followed by a chamber concert, with the participation of foreign soloists and the Laudate Pueri Choir.

¤ A traditional dinner in honour of St George, organised by La Stella Band and with the participation of the Dunbartonshire Concert Band, will be held on the church square in Victoria on Friday at 8.30 p.m.

¤ Gozo Summer Night, a vocal concert in collaboration with Zebbug council and with the participation of the Kingston Choir and Orchestra, of the UK, will be held in Church Street, Zebbug, on Saturday at 8.30 p.m.

¤ Fr George Attard, OFM Conv., will celebrate thanksgiving Mass to mark the 25th anniversary of his ordination, at St Francis church, Victoria, on Sunday at 6 p.m.
