Dr Barbara Oakley, associate professor and professional engineer from Oakland University in the US, recently visited the MCAST Institute of Electronics Engineering, where she held a number of workshops and lectures for the institute's educators.
During her visit, which was jointly funded by MCAST and the PlayMobile Group, Dr Oakley carried out an audit of the institute and was impressed with the high standards of the operation, MCAST said.
Dr Oakley formed part of the scientific board assessing the institute's final-year students' dissertations and projects. Her involvement was considered to be important due to her wealth of experience in the field of electronics.
