Teachers in Church schools are to benefit from new work conditions following an agreement reached between Church authorities and the Malta Union of Teachers, the union said.

The agreement was reached following discussions which started after the MUT signed a collective agreement for teachers in state schools on February 7, 2001.

The agreement, retroactive to January 1, 2001, bears the name "Addendum to the agreement between the Church authorities and the Malta Union of Teachers on teaching grades in Church schools".
