The Kinderland Model Campaign, which attracted over 350 models from 45 state and church schools, was won by Daniela Attard of St Joseph Mater Boni Consilii School in Paola.

Youngsters aged between six and 15 were invited to produce the best Kinderland model, consisting of any scene of the participant's choice and including Kinder toys.

The campaign aimed to encourage youngsters to be more creative and use the crafts skills they learn at school in a practical way.

Each school participating in the campaign set up its own judging panel to select the best model from that particular school.

In May, the best entries from each school were forwarded to P. Cutajar & Co. Ltd, distributors of Kinder in Malta and last month, a final judging session was carried out at this point, the first prize, a brand new computer, going to Miss Attard.

Jessica Azzopardi from Dun Gorg Preca Primary School in Hamrun and Daniel Borg from Tarxien Primary won the second and third prize respectively.

The best models from every school were exhibited to the public at P. Cutajar & Co. Ltd., Mriehel. Each child whose model was displayed was presented with a Kinder rucksack full of Kinder chocolate.
