The feast of St Peter and St Paul is being celebrated at the Cathedral, Mdina, which is dedicated to the two apostles.
On Friday, after the 6 p.m. Mass, there will be a procession with the relics of the saints to the main altar. This will be followed by evening prayers and a Eucharistic celebration.
On Saturday, the feast day proper, morning prayers at 7.30 will be followed by Mass at 8 a.m. At 8.30 a procession leaves the Cathedral church for the parish church of St Paul in Rabat. At 9.45, following the procession's return to the Cathedral, Archbishop Mercieca will lead a pontifical concelebration. This will be followed by another Mass, at 11 a.m.
At 5 p.m. evening prayers will be sung, followed by the reposition of the relics and Eucharistic celebration and Mass at 6.
