Brointermed Lines have introduced a new direct service from Italy to Malta, departing from La Spezia every eight to nine days, sailing directly to Malta with a transit time of only 48 hours.

The service, which uses multipurpose container vessels, accepts heavy weight containers, general-purpose containers, and general cargo.

Brointermed Lines, represented locally by W.J. Parnis England Ltd of Valletta, enjoy strategic partnerships with intermodal carriers in Italy, enabling the line to provide competitive pre-carriage rates to their customers.

Their main areas of competitive advantage are Tuscany, Milan, Florence, Marina di Carrara, Turin, Venice, Verona, Vicenza, Padua, Bergamo, Modena, Parma and the whole Reggio Emilia region.

Brointermed Lines are specialists in carrying ceramic tiles, marble slabs, and blocks, white goods, foodstuffs and textiles. They are not newcomers on the local market; the company has been serving Malta on a regular basis, providing a service to Libya, for the past seven years.

This new venture into the Italian and Maltese market is an indication of Brointermed Lines' commitment to serve the Maltese market.

The company is well aware of the importance of the Italian market as Malta's foremost trading partner and this new service will be improving the Maltese importers' choice for transportation into Malta.
