Accused of dealing in drugs

A Sta Venera man was yesterday charged with dealing in drugs.

Mario Farrugia, 31, pleaded not guilty to the possession and trafficking of heroin in his hometown on and before Thursday.

He was also charged with the possession of cannabis resin and committing the drug offences within 100 metres of a school or youth club.

Farrugia was remanded in custody at the end of the sitting in which the police requested the confiscation of all his assets.

Police Inspector Nezren Grixti prosecuted.
