This programme is targeted at the fight against violence against women, children and young persons. It is therefore open to all public and private organisations involved in the prevention of, or protection from, violence. Since 1997, Daphne funded 222 projects.

One such project, called "Speak up", focused on community radios campaigning against violence towards migrant, refugee and ethnic minority women. Its focus point was a campaign around the International Day against Violence Towards Women to report on different experiences of violence migrant women face in the countries where they are living and how they deal with it.
