A Coca-Cola bottle made of a kilogramme of gold, encrusted with two diamonds, is the top prize in a competition launched to mark the 50th anniversary of Coca-Cola in Malta.

The competition is being run by General Soft Drinks, Vodafone, Gaba Diamonds and Britannia Tours.

The competition will take place over a period of 12 weeks. Every fortnight, two participants will win a package to visit the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Monza in September.

On September 2, during the last draw, an additional winner will take home the 1kg Coca-Cola contour bottle.

The bottle was designed by Gaba Diamonds and has two brilliant diamonds encased within the hyphen of the word 'Coca-Cola'.

Apart from its value in gold and diamonds, the prize is a collector's item specifically created to celebrate this anniversary.

The 12 Formula 1 prizes, put together by Britannia Tours, will take the winners to the Grand Prix in Monza between September 13 and 17.

These packages consist of return flights with Air Malta to Milan, four nights' stay in twin rooms in the 3-star Hotel Victoria au Lac in Lugano, Switzerland on a bed and breakfast basis, airport transfers, transfers to Monza circuit on Saturday and Sunday and general admission tickets to the circuit. Services of a group leader will also be made available.

The promotion will be taking place until August 30 and is open to all those who have access to a Vodafone mobile phone that has a valid SIM card during this period.

To participate one has to drink any 30cl soft drink of Coca-Cola, Sprite, Fanta or Krest or their respective diet versions and retain the crown.

Further details of the promotion are to be found in all outlets selling Coca-Cola products and all Vodafone retail outlets.
