Every year, between June 17 and 24, national Olympic committees all over the world organise a celebration in honour of the foundation in Paris of the International Olympic Committee - June 23, 1894.

To encourage all NOCs to commemorate Olympic Day, the Sport for All Commission at the IOC launched the concept of the Olympic Day Run.

Forty-five NOCs held the first run in 1987. This number gradually increased to 170. In Malta, the run is organised annually by the MOC in collaboration with the MAAA.

This year's run will take place on Saturday at 6.30 p.m. Participation is free. For further information one may contact the MOC on 21-332801 or the MAAA on 21-432402.
