Wing Commander Brian Essex presented Malta Aviation Museum director Ray Polidano with a limited commemorative print of an original painting by aviation artist Richard Caruana.

The painting of a Shackleton and Nimrod aircraft flying in formation over Grand Harbour was commissioned to mark the recent reunion of the 203 Squadron in Malta, which was almost certainly the largest overseas gathering of RAF Squadron air crew and ground crew since the Second World War.

During the squadron's visit, over 250 members called at the Aviation Museum and donated their own items of personal memorabilia, which included photographs, scrap books, the informal Squadron logo of 'Percy' the sea horse and the Squadron headquarters sign that hung over the crew room at Luqa in 1978.

Wing Commander Essex and his UK co-organiser, Sqn Ldr Colin Pomeroy, also made a cash donation of Lm203 to the museum.

The squadron was also able to make similar donations to the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund, the Aircrew Association Archives Fund at York Museum and the Westminster Abbey Coastal Command stained glass window appeal fund.
