The Malta Business Bureau - the joint Malta Chamber of Commerce and Malta Federation of Industry office - recently organised a familiarisation visit to Brussels for a number of top CEOs.

The group was led by Chamber of Commerce president Reginald Fava and Federation of Industry president Joe Zammit Tabona.

The programme of the visit was coordinated by Leonard Mizzi, director of the MBB Brussels office, and Simon Lee Barberi, EU affairs coordinator at the MBB office in Malta.

The delegation had meetings with both the Maltese ambassador to Brussels, Victor Camilleri, as well as high- ranking EU officials.

The main aim of these meetings was to brief local participants on the workings of the European Union while overviewing the progress of EU-Malta negotiations to date and the issues still open for discussion.
