A Qawra man who has been sentenced to two weeks detention for failing to pay his wife maintenance, has appealed the magistrates' court's judgment.

Anthony Gauci, 54, appealed the judgment in which he was found guilty of failing to pay maintenance to his wife. The judgment will not come into effect until the appeal case is decided.
