The Malta Community Chest Fund is better off, thanks to a car winner who did not claim the prize.

The winner of a Volkswagen Polo, the prize in the lottery organised by the tax free shops at the Malta International Airport, never claimed the prize.

The finance ministry therefore decided to donate the car to the MCCF. It was presented to President Guido de Marco on behalf of MCCF by Finance Minister John Dalli yesterday.

The car had been given as a prize by Continental Cars.
