Warden's injustice

With reference to the letter "Two against four", I had a similar case of injustice but mine was zero against two because I was not even near Valletta Road, Attard on March 14. The only stupid thing I did was to forget to attend the tribunal on May 20.

The two fines, which I received at home, stated that I crossed over a continuous white line and the other that I failed to cooperate with the warden in giving information on another car, which supposedly broke the law.

The only thing I did not understand was how the fine was issued under my mother's name when the warden is stating that he spoke to me and had time to take my details! Had I remembered to attend the tribunal, I would have wasted one whole afternoon in explaining that my mother has not driven the car for over a year now.

Instead of a whole afternoon, I now have to pay Lm45, just because one disgruntled individual wearing a brown uniform made a mistake!
