Pool marathon in aid of charity
Pool marathon participants from Lorenzo Gafà Boys` secondary school in Vittoriosa.
The Lorenzo Gafà Boys` secondary school in Vittoriosa yesterday opened its annual pool marathon in aid of Caritas.
The 51-hour marathon is this year being held on the theme `Help Cottonera Help`.
As in previous years, activities are being organised including seminars and visits related to drug rehabilitation. The pool (billiards) marathon will also include a competition for 14 students aged between 11 and 15 years. The final will be played tomorrow at 6.30 p.m.
A total of Lm1,500 was collected in last year`s marathon.
World Cup matches are being shown on a big screen at the school during the marathon.
