Vodafone renews IAESTE Malta sponsorship

Vodafone Malta has renewed its partnership with the International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE) (www.iaeste.org.mt).

Vodafone Malta has been supporting IAESTE, which organises an exchange scheme for university students reading for degrees in science and technology, for the last three years.

The exchange involves gaining practical experience by working in a company in a foreign country. Engineering, science, IT, pharmacy and architecture students may apply for an IAESTE sponsorship. There are 83 countries participating in the exchange scheme. For each training place offered by a Maltese company, there is one Maltese student who can go on a traineeship abroad.

"Vodafone believes in the potential of Maltese youth and this sponsorship is part of a continuing effort to help students in several different fields to fulfil their promise. By being able to provide these opportunities IAESTE, with Vodafone`s support is also helping to secure Malta`s future prosperity," Vodafone`s marketing and business development manager Simon Mizzi said.
