A Kappara man was yesterday cleared of selling pork luncheon meat whose expiry date had been tampered with, to the Gozo General Hospital last year.

Magistrate Giovanni Grixti ruled that the charge brought against Joseph Bonnici had not been proven due to lack of evidence.

Police Inspector Antonello Grech prosecuted.
