Spending by Maltese embassies
Malta`s embassies (including high commissions) abroad have spent Lm154,630 on the purchase of cars in the past three years, Foreign Minister Joe Borg told Dr George Vella (MLP) in reply to a parliamentary question yesterday.
The minister said in reply to another question that over the past three years Malta`s embassies had hosted 94 receptions at a cost of Lm40,455. He said 111 lunches and 62 receptions were hosted in the residencies of ambassadors at a cost of Lm9,319 and Lm14,879 respectively.
