Norman Hamilton yesterday filed a writ for libel damages in the First Hall of the Civil Court against newspaper columnist Daphne Caruana Galizia.

Hamilton said the article written by Caruana Galizia and published in The Malta Independent on Sunday on April 14 under the heading "The Labour Party`s travel agency" was libellous in his regard.

He asked the court to condemn Caruana Galizia to pay damages in terms of the Press Act.

Dr Tony Abela signed the writ.
