On May 16, at St Luke`s Hospital, JOHN (ex-employee, Allied Newspapers Ltd), aged 92, passed peacefully away, surrounded by his children and their families, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Tania and Tony Muscat, Marthese and Franz Galea, Albert and Irene, and Pauline, widow of Albert Calamatta, his beloved grandchildren Trevor, Deborah, Richard, Johanna, Caroline, Roberto, Rudolph and Abigail, his sister Pauline and her husband Ron of UK, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P.

Lectures For Elderly Gozitans

About 30 students attending the University of the Third Age (U3E) in Gozo recently visited locations in Malta for on-site lectures. The lectures were given at Simar Nature Reserve and Mdina Natural History Museum.

Concert Postponed

The concert due to be held at St Paul`s Anglican Pro-Cathedral in Valletta on Thursday, with the participation of the string, woodwind and brass ensembles of the national orchestra, has been put off to a later date.

Gozo Plant Fair

The Agricultural, Cultural and Industrial Society of Gozo has changed the venue of the Indoor and Outdoor Plant Fair from Independence Square in Victoria to Villa Rundle public gardens, also in Victoria.

The fair will be held tomorrow and on Sunday between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Entrance is free.

Water Cuts

The Water Services Corporation said residents in Mtarfa and Rabat experienced low water pressure or cuts yesterday because of maintenance work on the water distribution system.

The situation is expected to return to normal today as long as no technical difficulties arise.
