Rabat council is organising a children`s festival in St Paul`s Square in the centre of Rabat today and tomorrow, from 9.30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 7 to 10.30 p.m. The programme includes a variety of events such as choir singing, magic, drama, juggling, fencing, martial arts, dancing, face painting, musicals, balloon artists, clowns, sports and other entertainment.

A Children`s Mini Council will be held in conjunction with the festival. The students of Alfred Buhagiar School elected a mini council which will meet at the Rabat local council offices today at 6 p.m. to discuss the environment.

The mayor and councillors will give up their seats for about an hour so that the children can discuss their agenda and put forward their thoughts on ways to improve the environment.
