The government has refused to say how much it was spending on the large number of reports it was commissioning, Labour leader Alfred Sant said yesterday.

Speaking during a social activity at Mellieha, Dr Sant said the government was commissioning a large number of reports which were ultimately being shelved.

The only people who were getting something out of these reports were the few `blue-eyed` boys who were earning good money from people`s taxes.

Dr Sant said government ministers had refused to say how much was being spent on the reports when asked about this in Parliament.
