A view of Dock 1 which has been given a completely different look after the huge cranes were removed from the quay. The area has also been given a thorough clean-up.

Last January it was announced that Bank of Valletta had submitted an application to develop a centre in the environs of Dock 1, a development expected to kick-start the regeneration of the area.

A decision on the future of the dock is expected within weeks.
