Fr Paul Chetcuti is the new provincial of the Maltese Jesuits, taking over from Fr Paul Pace. He will formally assume the post on July 31, the feast of St Ignatius Loyola.

He currently serves as the Archbishop`s delegate to the Diocesan Youth Commission.

The Maltese Jesuit province is made up of 107 Jesuits, 85 of whom live in nine local communities, while the rest are either studying or working overseas.
