Raymond Cefai, 38, of Valletta, was yesterday charged with violent indecent assault on a minor.

Cefai was charged with keeping a 16-year-old girl against her will, defiling her and slightly injuring her.

The accused, who said he was registering for work, was granted bail on a personal guarantee of Lm1,000.

Inspector Paul Camilleri prosecuted.

Dr David Camilleri appeared for the accused.
