The police have asked the courts to suspend the licence of the owners of five places of entertainment after persons under 16 were found on their premises in St Julian`s and Mellieha. The owners had already been previously found guilty of violations of public order regulations involving places of entertainment, Home Affairs Minister Tonio Borg said.

Between January and April this year, the police arraigned the owners of six establishments after 49 people under 16 were found at their places of entertainment, the minister told Labour MP Carmelo Abela in reply to a parliamentary question.
