A children`s swim-run, organised by the Malta Triathlon Association (MTA) and sponsored by Kellogg`s, the nutritious breakfast cereal, was held recently at the National Swimming Pool Complex, Tal-Qroqq. During the event, a group of budding athletes tested their swimming and running skills during a 100 metres swim and a 600 metres run.

The children were grouped into different categories according to their age which varied between four years and 16 years old. Nikki Muscat won the under-8 competition followed closely by Michaela Millo, Fay Kreemer and Paige Attard Portughes in second, third and fourth place respectively.

In the boys` category, Neptunes swimmers Gabriel Pace and Mark Sammut were engaged in close competition followed by Jake Micallef, who, at five years of age, is already showing signs of great talent.
