Oil rig contract completed

The Transocean Sedco Forex semi-submersible oil rig Actinia has sailed from Malta Drydocks on completion of repairs.

The contract for the repair work contained strict terms related to the completion date. The original work contracted to Malta Drydocks has been completed some five days ahead of schedule. Additional work requested during the repair period has also been completed.

Malta Drydocks worked with Transocean Sedco Forex on this contract, involving the first rig that has been worked on for a number of years.

This performance confirms Malta Drydocks` capability in the offshore market and will benefit future marketing to this sector, TSF said.

"MDD project team have worked closely with the TSF team assigned to the project. The cooperation and effort have been well appreciated," said Claude Gabillard, TSF manager of projects.
