A book just published has highlighted Malta as the main clue in what is turning out to be a global battle on exactly what are the origins of civilisation. Underworld, by Graham Hancock, was only published five weeks ago and is already the no. 1 bestseller in the UK. Undoubtedly, it will sell millions of copies worldwide, as indeed, most of Hancock`s books have done in the past decade.
What is incredible about this book is that the clues for his hypothesis are on and around the island of Malta (out of all the possible places on earth!). Hancock visited Malta on a number of occasions and leads the reader to believe that he has unfinished business here, outlining the neolithic temples, cart ruts, etc., as being under-estimated in their global significance.
Without going into the merits of credence or otherwise, I believe that this represents a unique opportunity to be exploited by the MTA. Keep in mind that a marketing campaign of this reach and credibility would cost millions of pounds (plus more) on a good day!
